Many diners highlight the hearty portion sizes, particularly the large fish and chips, which is often more than enough for a satisfying meal. The homemade chicken curry is another standout, frequently described as delectable with a perfect spice balance. Diners appreciate the fast service, even during busy hours, ensuring a quick turnaround for takeout. While the food quality rarely disappoints, some patrons note that service can be inconsistent during peak hours. Busy times, particularly Saturdays, can lead to longer wait times for both dine-in and takeout orders, which tests the patience of hungry guests. A few reviews indicate that prices are slightly on the higher side compared to other chip shops, which can be a concern for budget-conscious diners. Additionally, the location can get quite crowded, making it challenging to find seating during lunch hours. For some, the bustling environment is off-putting, particularly after a long day at the beach, when a quieter experience is preferred. Lastly, a few diners mention that while the variety is commendable, some menu items occasionally run out, leading to dissatisfaction.
Good always top notch! Sure fresh and decent size portions. A little pricey, but same as most chip shops Service always a bit hit & miss depending on how busy they are. - but does not affect the quality of the food Best chippy in the area
Really lovely fish and chips. Eat in or take away available.
Absolutely stunning food! All freshly cooked and reasonably priced. Ladies serving were very polite and friendly! Large fish and chips was huge! I had homemade chicken curry and chips and it was gorgeous 😍. Clean tables which were quickly wiped down and ready for the next customers, spotlessly clean! Would definitely go back again 😋
Very busy for eating in and takeaway but was greeted straight away by a server. My children and I looked at the menu and made our choice and the server apologised several times about how busy it was and said she wouldn't be long, but we didn't mind the wait as we'd enjoyed some lovely time on the beach first. We placed our order and drinks were promptly served. The food is always great quality here the batter is perfectly crispy and the chips light, fluffy and nicely browned. The staff are all very nice and the atmosphere is always lively.
Great Chips best I’ve had in years, had a nice smoked sausage it’s a acquired taste very friendly staff fast as well. Had a gorgeous chicken curry
Got recommended by a friend of ours who lives in Blackpool and weren't disappointed. The boyfriend and I shared a large fish and chips but I had to order another normal fish as it was so nice just for myself! The chips and mushy peas were amazing too. Probably the best chippy we've had in the last two or three years.
We had our lunch in Kays today . Wow it was amazing fish chips and mushy peas are the best we ever tasted and well worth the money . My grandson had battery sausage chips with curry sauce and he said it was really delicious Would definitely recommend Thank you
